Julian Korab Karpowicz is a professor in the Institute of Political Science at the University of Opole in Poland. He received his doctorate from the University of Oxford and has taught at many universities. He specializes in political philosophy and is the author of several books, including On the History of Political Philosophy (Routledge, 2016) and Tractatus Politico-Philosophicus: New Directions for the Future Development of Mankind (Routledge, 2017). He was Deputy Mayor of Gdansk and is the recipient of Poland’s 2020 Personality of the Year in Science award.
