GENERAL INFORMATION
Istanbul Research Institute offers a variety of scholarship programs to researchers working on projects related to its departments of Byzantine, Ottoman, Atatürk and Republican-Era studies, and its “Istanbul and Music” Research Program.
Applications can be prepared in English or Turkish. Click here for the Application Form.
The deadline for all applications is August 11, 2019. All awardees are announced by September 15, 2019.
Former fellows of Istanbul Research Institute can re-apply for a grant after five years have passed since their previous fellowship year. Former fellows who received an Istanbul Research Institute grant from 2015 onward are not eligible to apply for a grant in the 2019/2020 academic year.
An applicant is free to apply for more than one type of grant in the same application period, but can be awarded with only one grant.
