History Takes Place- Dynamics of Urban Change
מצ”ב קול קורא להשתתפות בסדנת מחקר בין התאריכים 27-23 בספטמבר, 2019, שתתכנס ב’מרכז העיר הלבנה’ בבית ליבלינג שבתל אביב.
הסדנה תיערך במסגרת תכנית מחקר ותיקה של קרן גרדה הנקל וקרן צייט- אבלין וגרד בוצריוס, ‘ההיסטוריה מתרחשת: דינמיקה של שינוי עירוני’, המתמקדת בעיר אירופאית נבחרת ודנה בה בכל היבטי החברה בה.
אף שהעיר במזרח התיכון, נבחרה תל אביב-יפו לשמש מוקד בתכנית מחקר זו, מאחר שמלאו 100 שנה לתנועת הבאוהאוס, והעיר שווקה בהצלחה ניכרת כעיר-מותג של באוהאוס.
אמנם העניין המודגש הוא בבאוהאוס כמניע וציר מרכזי בסדנה, אך יש עניין רב להרחיב את המעגל הגיאוגרפי לכלל הארץ והמזרח התיכון כשיש זיקה לערים יפו ותל אביב בזמנו ולבאוהאוס.
העניין הממוקד בתל אביב-יפו מאפשר גם להגיש הצעה להשתתפות בעניין בעל זיקה הנוגע לתקופה שקדמה לבאוהאוס בערים יפו ותל אביב, וכמובן, למורשת הבאוהאוס בעיר.
הדיון בסדנה איננו רק בדלת אמות מחקר המרחב הגיאוגרפי והפיזי, האדריכלות, התכנון והבנייה, ההיסטוריה ותולדות האמנות אלא גם בכלכלה ומימון, משפט, תרבות וחברה בכללותם. אחד ממוקדי העניין האפשריים בתחום החברה הם הזיקה להגירה ופליטות, בזמנו ובימינו או הזיקה לריבוד חברתי בכלל.
Dear Sir or Madam,
The Summer School “History Takes Place – Dynamics of Urban Change” will bring together from 23 to 27 September 2019 international young researchers – historians, art historians, archaeologists, cultural and social scientists, city planners and architects. This year’s programme concentrates on the city of Tel Aviv-Jaffa focusing on its Bauhaus heritage and will be hosted by the White City Center in Tel Aviv. The ZEIT-Stiftung Ebelin und Gerd Bucerius and the Gerda Henkel Foundation invite the participants to study the connections between historical events and spatial development.
Since 2003 we have invited young historians and social scientists (usually postgraduate students) annually to take part in studies programmes in various locations. The aim is to find the traces of history in the topography, architecture and monuments of the place. The city itself is ‘read’ as a historical source – ‘History Takes Place’.
