קול קורא לכנס התשעה-עשר של האגודה הישראלית להיסטוריה ופילוסופיה של המדע

האגודה הישראלית להיסטוריה ופילוסופיה של המדע מתכבדת להודיע על קיום הכנס השנתי התשעה-עשר. הכנס יתקיים ביום ראשון, י”ג סיון תשע”ט, 16 ביוני 2019, במכון ון ליר בירושלים.
מטרת הכנס להפגיש חוקרים מתחומים שונים (היסטוריה, פילוסופיה, סוציולוגיה, אנתרופולוגיה, מדעי המדינה, מדעי הטבע, מדעי הרפואה, כלכלה, ספרות, חינוך ועוד), העוסקים בחקר המדע (העיוני והיישומי), הרפואה והטכנולוגיה.
נשמח לקבל הצעות להרצאות (כ-20 דקות באורכן) ולמושבים של שלוש עד ארבע הרצאות (שעה וחצי בסך הכול). ייבחן כל נושא העוסק בבחינה רפלקטיבית של המדע, הרפואה, או הטכנולוגיה, בעבר או בהווה, לרבות היבטים שונים של תחומים אלו בישראל. תינתן עדיפות להגשת הצעות למושבים, ובפרט כאלה שמשתתפים בהם חוקרים ממוסדות שונים.
הנחיות להגשה: יש להגיש תקציר של ההרצאה המוצעת בהיקף של 250–400 מילה, כולל שם המגיש\ה, שייכות אקדמית וכן כתובת דוא”ל ומספר טלפון. בהצעות למושב יש לכלול תיאור של הפאנל, ותקציר של כל הרצאה וכן שמות המרצים ופרטיהם . את ההצעות יש לשלוח כקובץ word מצורף לדוא”ל isrhps@gmail.com.

Call for Papers – The 19th Annual Conference of the Israeli Society for the History and Philosophy of Science

The Israeli Society for the History and Philosophy of Science is pleased to announce its 19th annual conference, which will take place on Sunday, June 16, 2019, at the Van Leer Jerusalem Institute.
The aim of the conference is to bring together under one roof researchers from the great variety of disciplines that have turned their attention to the study of science and technology, among them: medicine, history, philosophy, sociology, anthropology, psychology, political science, economics, geography, literature, education, natural and life sciences, and more.
We invite proposals for individual lectures (20 minutes in length) and for full sessions (90 minutes in length, comprising three or four lectures). Every proposal for a reflective investigation of any aspect of science, or technology, past or present, will be considered. We are especially interested in receiving proposals concerning science and technology in Israel.
Submission guidelines: For individual lectures, please submit a 250–400 word abstract describing briefly the subject of your research, your methods, and your principal findings. For session proposals, please submit (1) a 250–400 description of the panel, (2) the names, institutional affiliations, and contact information for each of the proposed presenters, and (3) a 250–400 word abstract for each lecture in the session, as described above. Proposals should be submitted as a Word or Open Office document and sent as an email attachment to isrhps@gmail.com. Preference will be given to sessions that include researchers from at least two different academic institutions.
