Professor of History
The School of History, Anthropology, Philosophy and Politics seeks to appoint a Professor of Politics of the very highest international standing. The appointment is to undertake high quality research, deliver excellent teaching, enhance international connectivity and provide significant academic leadership in line with the School’s research strategy. The Professor will make significant contributions to the mentoring and development of early-career staff, support and enable the development of large-scale externally funded research projects, and support and enhance the ongoing production of significant and impactful research outputs of the highest quality.
We seek to attract a Professor of Politics to join our team at Queen’s. In the Politics and International Relations disciplinary group we have 29 permanent staff, working across International Relations, Security Studies, Gender Politics, Political Theory, Comparative Politics, Public Policy, International Political Economy, Electoral behaviour and European Studies.
The school also encourages and supports interdisciplinary approaches to tackling major research questions and many of our staff are fellows in the Senator George J. Mitchell Global Research Institute for Global Peace, Security and Justice.
