The Department of History at the Central European University is pleased to announce its call for applications for graduate programs in history beginning in Vienna in the fall of 2019. We offer one- and two-year MA programs, as well as a doctoral program, with tuition wavers and scholarships for the majority of students.
As of September 2019, CEU will be accepting all incoming students to its new Vienna campus. At the same time, it will remain closely tied to the original Budapest campus, operating as a bi-campus university centered around two major Central European capitals. Students will have an opportunity to spend their semesters in both cities, benefiting from their respective academic and cultural environments.
The international faculty and student body at the History Department (currently our faculty represents 16 countries, while our student cohort comes from 29 countries) provide a distinctive possibility of thinking about history across geographical regions, historical periods, and disciplines. Furthermore, CEU remains committed to providing education available for all. The vast majority of our students receive generous financial aid that allows them to dedicate their full energies to their studies.
The deadline is January 31, 2019 at 23:59 Central European Time (CET) for students applying with financial aid. For those applying without financial aid, the deadline is until May 1, 2019 at 23:59 CET.
More information about the application process can be found on our departmental website: https://history.ceu.edu/. The department's recruitment assistant, Stefan Gužvica can also answer further questions coming from colleagues or students at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
