INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ETHICS
Ethics (or Moral Philosophy) is a branch of Philosophy that is divided into three main sub-fields: (1) Meta-Ethics concerns the theorethical meaning of moral propositions, exploring the big questions such as “what is morality?”, “is there objective moral values?” or “can we discover what is wrong or right?”; (2) Normative Ethics focuses on providing a framework for deciding what is right or wrong; the main focus is to find out how we ought to act and live; finally, (3) Applied Ethics is the attempt to apply ethical theory to real-life situations; it addresses particular issues of moral relevance of our daily life.
The aim of this conference is to bring together a diverse group of researchers and scholars from different perspectives and backgrounds to discuss the numerous aspects of Ethics and its importance for society in general.
