Hagar: International Social Science Review
Hagar: International Social Science Review is an English-language international peer-reviewed journal, published by the Humphrey Institute for Social and Cultural Research in Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Israel. It endorses all subfields of the social sciences and the social and cultural humanities. The Journal was inaugurated in 2000 and is now renewing its publication after a nine-year break. It is managed by the doctoral fellows of the Humphrey Institute. Hagar’s mission is to establish social and cultural thought as a basis for research in a variety of fields and disciplines. The journal is particularly interested in essays that employ an interdisciplinary approach to social and cultural themes and methods.
For the upcoming issue of Hagar, we invite papers from across the full range of sociological and cultural research and knowledge. We aim to publish high-quality original research that deals with theoretical and methodological challenges in the field, as well as papers that analyze issues or cases that contribute to innovative understandings of social and cultural concepts or phenomena.
Manuscripts should consist of approximately 7000 words and follow the Harvard citation style. The deadline for submission of the full papers is 20 December 2022. Please direct the submission to firstname.lastname@example.org. Reviews are expected to be provided to the authors by February 2023, and the full issue is anticipated to be published in May 2023.
