The Graduate Program in Science, Technology & Society at Bar Ilan University invites applications for a Lecturer/Professor in Science & Technology Studies (STS). We seek an outstanding scholar whose research considers science, technology and/or medicine from the mid-twentieth century forward. Responsibilities include a standard teaching load, advising and supervising students, participating in program colloquia, graduate study groups, and taking part in recruitment and admission decisions. We seek a scholar with relevant disciplinary training (in STS, sociology, anthropology, political sciences, environmental studies, media studies, or communications); research of originality, value and interest; a strong record of publication; and a deep commitment to mentoring students. We strongly encourage women and underrepresented minorities to apply.

Applications will be considered, on a rolling basis, beginning on January 15, 2020, for a position that will open in October, 2021, funding permitting. Application material should include: a letter of application, a current curriculum vitae, a statement describing your research and teaching interests, evidence of teaching ability, at least one sample publication, and the names, addresses, telephone numbers, and email addresses of three professional references.
