“עיונים בשפה וחברה” הוא כתב העת של האגודה הישראלית לחקר שפה וחברה. זהו כתב עת בין-תחומי שפיט, המציע במה אקדמית לחוקרים העוסקים בלשונות השונות המדוברות בישראל מן ההיבט החברתי-תרבותי. מטרתו לשקף ולהפיץ את המחקר הנערך בישראל ולשרת חוקרים מדיסציפלינות שונות העוסקות בחקר שפה וחברה. מתפרסמים בו מאמרים מתחומים כגון בלשנות, סוציולוגיה, אנתרופולוגיה, תקשורת, חינוך, תרגום ועוד. המאמרים יכולים לעסוק בתחומים אלו מן הבחינות התיאורטית, האמפירית, התיאוּרית והמעשית.
