Lecturer in Modern History (Scholarship)
The School of Divinity, History and Philosophy is seeking to make an appointment of a Lecturer (Scholarship) in Modern History from September 2018. Applicants should have a good research record in any aspect of Modern History and extensive experience of teaching in British Higher education. The applicant will be expected to teach across the four-year Scottish MA and, where appropriate, contribute to taught postgraduate courses, including courses delivered online.
The successful candidate should have completed a PhD and will be an experienced and flexible teacher. The candidate will be expected to teach one junior honours (level 3) option, to contribute to team-taught sub-honours and honours courses (including an introductory course on twentieth-century Europe and a course on historiography), and to supervise undergraduate dissertations.
